Ingredients

1 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tbsp. fresh ginger, minced

1 lb. ground pork or lean ground beef

1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil

1/2 onion, diced
-
1 carrot, julienned or coarsely grated

1/4 green cabbage, thinly sliced

1/4 c. low-sodium soy sauce

1 tbsp. sriracha
-
Kosher salt

1 green onion, thinly sliced

1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds

Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and ginger and cook for about one minute, or until fragrant.
Add pork or beef and cook, break up with spatula. Stir occasionally, until browned and no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper.
Push meat to side of pan and add sesame oil. Add carrot, cabbage and onion.
Combine meat with vegetables and stir in sriracha and soy sauce. Continue to cook until cabbage is tender.
Transfer to serving dish or bowls and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
Recipe Note
Garnish with fried egg and cilantro for an extra kick!
