A sturdy tote bag with many pockets for added organization...

Capabunga makes two differently sized totes - the Market and the Grocery - so you can choose the size that best suits your shopping needs. With separate compartments for eggs and glass bottles, and an optional insulated insert perfect for frozen local meats, these tote bags can store it all. Sturdy construction and a vegan leather base allows the bag to stand on its own as you wind your way back home from market!

Reusable cloth produce bags for eco friendly shopping...

Bring your own reusable, waste-free cotton produce bags in various sizes to market and you'll never need to ask for a plastic bag again. Our bags are machine washable and have handy drawstring closures, plus come in a variety of prints.

Extend the life of fragile produce with Peakfresh Produce Bags...

Some fresh produce, such as kale and other leafy greens, spoil quickly even when refrigerated due to loss of moisture and the production of ethylene. For these more sensitive vegetables, we recommend OMRI certified, reusable Peakfresh Produce Bags. Each bag can be reused up to 10 times, and is made of a semi-breathable low-density polyethylene film which allow ethylene and other damaging gases to vent naturally. Peakfresh Produce Bags are especially helpful for: leafy greens, tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, and corn.

This three-piece berry box to wash, serve, and store your fresh berries...

Amongst the most delicate of fresh produce are berries. These three-piece berry boxes make washing, serving and storing your berries a breeze. When you get your berries home, discard any that show signs of mold. Next, mix up a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part white vinegar in the serving container. Place the berries in the colander and submerge them in the water/vinegar solution by nesting the colander into the serving container. Allow them to sit for just about a minute, then lift the colander from the serving container. Rinse the berries under cold water until all trace of the vinegar aroma is gone and allow to drain in the sink. Nest the colander with berries back into the serving container, pop the lid on, and refrigerate!

Filter out ethylene and other damaging gases with OXO Produce Keepers...

A carbon filter nested in the top of these OXO Produce Keepers helps filter out ethylene and other damaging gases from your produce. The convenient, nesting colander means you can wash and drain your produce before storing it in the fridge, and the airtight lid will lock in moisture. They come in three different sizes to fit your varying needs.

Other tips:

  • On hot days, its especially important to cool your produce down as soon as you get home. Fill your sink with cold water straight from the tap, and let your produce soak for 5-10 minutes to remove any residual heat before storing in the fridge.
  • Don't refrigerate potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions or garlic. Instead, store in a cool dark place.
  • Excess moisture causes leafy greens to rot. If you like to prewash your greens, use a salad spinner to remove as much surface moisture as possible before storing.
