This delicious frozen treat goes great with the main course (especially if it is a turkey dinner) or as a refreshing palate cleanser.

Ingredients

1 quart cranberries

4 cups water

2 cups sugar

Juice of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 orange
Directions
Boil cranberries and 4 cups of water for 8 minutes. Cook over medium heat until the berries pop. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
Add 2 cups of sugar, juice of 1 lemon, and juice of one orange to the bowl. Allow to cool, then transfer to freezer.
When mixture has turned into a firm slush, remove from freezer and beat with a hand mixer. Place mixture back in freezer until ready to serve.
Recipe Note
According to Grandma Ruth, the best way to serve this treat is in sorbet cups with silver spoons!
