Grilled Shrimp with Chesapeake Seafood Seasoning
There are so many great ways to use the Spicewalla Chesapeake Seafood Seasoning, but we find that it perfectly compliments these slightly smoky shrimp. Serve with boiled potatoes and a side salad for a complete meal!

This simple marinade packs a series punch - but don't be tempted to let the shrimp marinate for longer than 30 minutes. The lemon juice will start to cook the shrimp and make them tough.
Ingredients
Directions
Heat a grill to high. If using a cast iron grill basket, preheat this along with your grill. A stainless steel grill basket will not need to be preheated (see notes).
Juice half the lemon and add the juice to a large mixing bowl or marinade tray. Add the garlic, olive oil, and seasoning along with the shrimp. Toss to combine. Marinate for no more than 30 minutes.
While shrimp marinades, cut the remaining lemon half into wedges and reserve for serving.
Lightly oil the grill basket with a silicone basting brush. Transfer the shrimp from the marinade into the grill basket or directly on to the grill grates. Grill until well browned, about 2-4 minutes. Flip and cook until opaque throughout, 1-2 minutes.
Transfer shrimp to a serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges.
Recipe Note
For grilling small items like shrimp, or chopped up veggies, I like to use a grill basket. Le Creuset's Alpine Outdoor Square Grill Basket comes completely encased in a rugged matte black enamel that is ready to use and requires no seasoning. The perforations keep small items from falling gthrough, while still allowing heat to reach the food for that smoky chargrilled flavor. Cast iron should be preheated for optimal heat transfer.
Lighter weight and dishwasher safe, the RSVP BBQ Roasting Pan makes a good alternative to a cast iron grill basket.
