These Grilled Lime-Marinated Flank Steak Tacos are bursting with flavor and come together with just a handful of simple ingredients. A quick lime marinade tenderizes the steak and adds bright citrus notes, while a bold taco seasoning rub brings the flavor home. Throw it on the grill, slice it up, and serve in warm tortillas with all your favorite toppings—perfect for taco night, summer cookouts, or anytime you’re craving something fresh and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. Flank steak
- 2 large limes 1 zested
- 3 teaspoons taco seasoning
- 2 teaspoon salt
- Spray olive oil for grill
For Serving
- Corn or flour tortillas
- Avocado
- Queso fresco
- Tomatoes, diced
- Red onion, diced
- Cilantro, chopped
Directions
- Marinate the Steak
- Place flank steak in a shallow dish and pour over the juice of both limes. Let it marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Season
- In a small bowl, combine taco seasoning, lime zest, and salt. After the steak has marinated, rub the seasoning mix all over both sides of the meat, pressing it in with your fingers.
- Grill
- Preheat grill to high heat. Lightly coat the grates with spray olive oil. Grill the steak for 5 minutes per side.
- Rest
- Remove steak from grill and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for 10 minutes to lock in the juices.
- Assemble Tacos
- Slice the steak thinly, against the grain. Serve in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.
