Homemade Peppermint Bark

Ingredients

12 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped

12 oz. white chocolate, chopped

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

8 candy canes, crushed
Directions
Line a 1/2 sheet pan with parchment paper
Using either a double boiler or the microwave method, first melt the semisweet chocolate.
Stir in the extract.
Pour onto prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer with an OFFSET SPATULA.
Refrigerate until set, about 20 minutes.
Next, melt the white chocolate. Pour over the semisweet chocolate and spread into an even layer, then top immediately with crushed candy canes. Refrigerate again until set.
Once set, break up the peppermint bark into uneven pieces. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
